July 2008 Newsletter

Dear Friends and Family,

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ, our savior. Sid and many pastors and evangelists greet you from Kenya.

It is awesome to see the move of God in Kenya. A marvelous time of Worship and Praise to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

Sid preached at Redeemed Gospel Church in Kayole. This is a congregation that we have ministered to for years. In fact, we considered this to be our home church while in Nairobi. We have watched more than half the church receive the Holy Ghost at different times.

John Ndungo is the son of the Bishop of Redeemed Gospel Church in Kayole. We have seen a great growth in John through the years. John is now pastoring in Embu, Kenya. John started ministering in his home over 4 years ago and now has outgrown his meeting place. Plans are in progress to build his church in 2008.

Finances are coming in for John’s Church in Embu, although there are other costs to be covered. We know that our people here in America will want to be a part of this wonderful outreach where so many lives will be touched.

Although there is still some fighting and carjacking, Sid hasn’t felt he was in danger. Joseph, our man that has driven for us for years; had 2 of his children coming home from Nairobi on a Matatu and was hijacked.
Pray for our families that are in the public many days a week.

Sunday the 29th of June, Sid was in Donholm, preaching for a pastor he met through Japheth. If you remember, Japheth was with us in Texas shortly after Christmas. Believe with us that the meeting will be a great success. Donholm is a small area with so much witchcraft. We’ve had some delivered of demonic forces in the past and know that God will do it again.

A report of his meeting in Donholm has been sent to me. The church was a fairly new one and a small congregation. Sid said some 15 to 17 received the Holy Ghost and 1 lady was delivered of demonic spirits and was able to rejoice calling out the Name of Jesus. PRAISE GOD!!!

I had the privilege of going to Arkansas to a family reunion the 13th and 14th of June; So many were there that I had not seen for a several years. My Aunts and Uncles are all in their 80’s. And so blessed of God.

Pastor Maison, from Olobelibel, was there this past week to spend the night. His family was needing money for food. Olobelibel is were we enlarged a church by 1/3rd and poured a concrete floor as well as glass windows and a nice door, in 2006.

Next Sunday the 6th of July, Sid will be preaching in Maasai Land (Olobelibel). This will be our 4th year to minister to the Maasai there. Anticipation is overwhelming as they prepare for this meeting. Reports have been coming in from past meetings of the healings and miracles that occurred over the past 4 years.
We are grateful to the call God has given us and we continue to PRAISE HIM for what HE has done in our and through us. Without the shed blood of Jesus, it would not be possible.

So many of the parables are leading into salvation. Time is so short and there is still so much to be done to reach the world for Jesus. Regardless what a person has done or been into, Jesus will cleanse that person to receive LIFE with Jesus.

It is a sad situation concerning the well being of Kenya. In the house that Sid is living they have been without water coming into the house for 2 full weeks. They have to purchase water not only to drink, but to do laundry, bathing and cleaning. There has been a Cholera outbreak near Lake Victoria in Kisumu. Everyone must be alert to where they are and what they eat and drink.

Prayer Request: Finances for a vehicle.
Water to return in the houses.
Additional finances to keep our Evangelists moving with the Word of God
Funds to continue building churches
Pray for Sid and the work God has him doing in Kenya.
